UPDATE - Today my wife had the Vegetarian Noodle Bowl and I had the Grilled Pork Noodle Bowl, both very good. Included 2 tasty deep fried spring rolls per bowl, also tasty. Good service prices. Recommended for quality food at reasonable prices. ORIGINAL Great soup and tasty Denver with fries. Reasonable prices.

Nellie’s Kitchen in Saskatoon is an absolute delight for anyone who loves hearty, flavorful meals with a personal touch. From the moment you step inside, the warm, homey atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve walked into someone’s kitchen — only better, because the food is incredible! The menu is a unique blend of Vietnamese and Ukrainian flavors, and every dish I tried was executed perfectly. The Vietnamese noodle bowls are fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor, while the borscht is rich, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. I also couldn’t get enough of the homemade perogies — golden, soft, and bursting with flavor, served with just the right amount of sautéed onions and bacon. For a classic comfort option, the roast turkey dinner is hearty and satisfying, with all the sides done just right. The staff here are genuinely friendly and attentive, making sure you feel welcome and cared for throughout your meal. Portions are generous, and the flavors are consistently spot-on, showing the pride and care the kitchen puts into every dish. Whether you’re in the mood for a satisfying lunch, a comforting dinner, or just want to explore a unique fusion of Vietnamese and Ukrainian cuisine, Nellie’s Kitchen is a must-visit. It’s cozy, welcoming, and the food is unforgettable — I can’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to return!

It was a lovely little hidden gem restaurant. The portions were great. The wonton soup was simple and tasty. The vermicelli bowls were good, although the lettuce was bitter. The Ukrainian platter was delicious. Service was very quick and very friendly. I would recommend trying this place.

We've only been for breakfast once since management changed. We each had the traditional breakfast. Eggs were perfectly cooked over easy. Bacon was relatively thin, not too salty, and well done. Hash browns are nicely fried chopped potatoes with lightly crispy exteriors and soft interiors Unfortunately, the sausage is no longer the incredibly delicious house-made variety Nellie's used to serve but these new standard breakfast sausages were still tasty and I liked the way they split them open before frying them. Prices are about 50¢ higher per plate than under old management but still very reasonable. Service is very friendly, if a little inattentive. We will definitely return.

From out of town, I was driving by and decided to stop. I had the day special : " Chicken breast stir fry. " Within minutes after going to the restroom to washup, I was served. The tasty item was adequate and reasonably priced. Upon leaving I over heard one of the other customers say they were ordering cabbage rolls ... it makes me want to come back another time ... maybe tomorrow
